What a great Cougars season! I've gotten a lot of input that the Cougars want to keep playing together through the rest of the year as a "last hurrah", like the players did last year. We're happy to have MTSC facilitate this. Since we are playing in leagues that have financial penalties for forfeits, there is a level of commitment and a minimum number of players (18) and parent volunteers we need to make this happen. So we need to follow the below process. If we do not have the commitments by the dates shown below, we'll need to cancel this and you'll be refunded for any payments made. Note that most/all of the Juniors on the Varsity team are already committed to Club teams for the spring, so to make this happen, your players will need to recruit more players (perhaps from their former Club teams if not already committed elsewhere). Players living outside Montgomery are welcome.
Step 1 by 11/16: You log into the MTSC website, set up an account if needed, and register for a tryout. There will be no actual tryouts, this is to gauge interest. You'll also be able to volunteer for team parent positions we need.
Step 2 by 11/17: I'll let you know if we have enough players/volunteers to run, and consensus on the activities / price. If so, I'll send out email invitations to join the team.
Step 3 by 12/7: You log into your MTSC account, acknowledge the commitment to attending matches, accept the invitation, and make the payment. You'll be refunded if the team does not form.
Step 4 by 12/8: We'll let you know if we got sufficient players registered to run the team, give you information on ordering a uniform, and get you set up on TeamSnap for team communication/scheduling. At this point the fee is nonrefundable.
Step 5 by 12/14: You order a uniform and download TeamSnap
Step 6 on 1/7: First winter practice indoors at Iron Peak.

I've put together 3 possible options for this team. I think most will want the middle (B) option, but I costed out a lighter and heavier option just in case. Once we have a full list of folks interested (11/6), we can discuss which option we want to go with.| Price | $ 700 | $900 | $1,150 |

Winter Practices at Iron Peak - Jan/Feb: These will be held Wednesdays 8:30 - 9:30 in the dome (turn right when you enter Iron Peak). There will be 8 sessions indoors, Jan 7 - Feb 25.
Winter Practices at Iron Peak - March: These will be held Tuesdays 8:30 - 9:30 outside on the turf. There will be 4 sessions outdoors, Mar 3 - 24.
Winter League @ Soccer Centers / DTS: This is the same Sunday evening league that the varsity players participated in last year, so they may play against next year's varsity team!
Spring Practices @ Mill Pond: 1.5 hours on Wednesdays, time TBD.
Spring MNJ league: We'll register the team in MNJYSA Flight 1, which will put them up against tough competition within an hour's drive -- MNJ Flight 1 is typically tougher than most EDP flights. Matches are weekly, typically on Sunday, possibly on Saturday. 10 matches, Mar 15 through June 7. No matches Mar 29 or May 24.
